Pythagoras was a Greek born in the 6th century BC. He coined the term "philosopher" and had a deep interest in astrology (astronomy), and music. he was a vegetarian and founded the "secret society" of Pythagoreans. he was a great teacher and a famous character, and although he was discounted by some of the more distinguished philosophers, such as Plato, many of his acomplishments and philosphies survived through the middle ages and some to this day.
i am thinking about writing one of my term papers on this guy, but i haven't thought of a thesis or argument yet. any ideas?
